Heather Nauert

 

Heather Ann Nauert, born on January 27, 1970 is an American broadcast journalist who was formerly an official of the government. She was the spokesperson for the United States Department of State during the Donald Trump administration (2017 to 2019). She is a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, a conservative think tank.



 



 Prior to her appointment at the Department of State she was an Fox News correspondent and news presenter. She also served as the Acting Secretary of State for Foreign Public Relations and Diplomacy in the Trump administration, from March 2018 until October 2018. In 2019, Trump appointed Nauert to the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board as well as the President's Commission on White House Fellowships.
